Bloomberg: March 8th Apple Event – What To Expect

The first highlight of this year for Apple could be pending within the next few weeks. Following several reports about a potential Apple event in March or April, Bloomberg claims to have discovered the exact date of the rumored event. Accordingly, Apple is currently targeting the 8th of March as the date to reveal multiple new hardware and/or software novelties. This year is alleged to contain more new hardware announcements than any in the past. The start of the new Apple year will be marked by the date of the event in slightly more than 4 weeks. Reports about which devices will be making an appearance have circulated frequently and even model numbers have leaked – which provide some important clues as to the hardware family of any potential upcoming devices.

iPhone SE 3
One of the expected updates will be to the iPhone SE 3 – coming 2 years after the last hardware update. Amongst the most important innovations coming to the next iPhone SE is 5G capability. There shouldn't be any changes to the devices exterior or housing. Finally, reports indicate that Apple is likely to equip the iPhone SE with a faster chip (an A14 or 15).

iPad Gets Some Attention
Two iPad models are counted amongst the most likely event candidates – the entry level iPad and the iPad Air. Both will receive support for 5G along with faster processors – apart from that, everything else with the devices should remain the same.

iMac Pro To Make An Appearance?
It will remain exciting to see whether or not the event will see the occasion of a new announcement for the Mac sector. At the time, there are conflicting statements concerning the 27" iMac's successor that Bloomberg began predicting in March. However, a very reliable source indicates that the current supplier situation might make a release this summer or even this fall more likely.

iOS 15.4 & Other Updates
The March event should also mark the release of several software updates, as shortly after the event, several upcoming system updates should be made available for all users. One of the new features coming with the next round of OS updates is the ability to use Face ID with face masks
