MagSafe Chargers For iPhone – Practical & Inexpensive Alternatives

The word "MagSafe" comes with a set of nostalgic feelings for many longstanding Mac users. The magnetic charging port was not only practical in its heydays, but it also protected a number of Cupertino-produced notebooks from dangerous falls. The iPhone 12 saw a MagSafe "revival", although it did come in a somewhat different form than last time. MagSafe for the smartphone provides extremely efficient wireless charging thanks to the exact positioning of its magnet ring. Apple offers several such charging devices – however, they're quite expensive and the selection is limited, which isn't the case with devices from third parties.

Anker: MagSafe Power Bank & 3 Chargers
Adapter, cable, and powerbank specialist Anker has several devices for sale with MagSafe features. As one of only a few manufacturers, Anker has a powerbank developed specifically for the iPhone 12 which the smartphone rests on safely, thanks to the magnets. Anker's Powercore Magnetic Wireless Portable Charger is US$45.99 on Amazon. The external battery has a capacity of 5,000 mAh and a 5-watt charging capability. Anker also offers a charging stand for the iPhone 12 and AirPods called the Power Wave 2-in-1 Magnetic Charging Stand. The device only costs US$39.99. The Power Wave Magnetic Pad from Anker is another option and is very similar in design to Apple's own MagSafe charger. It's US$2 off for Amazon Prime users, otherwise, it currently costs US$17.99.

Belkin: Charge 3 Devices At Once
Those who would like to charge their iPhone, AirPods, and Apple Watch all at once can turn to Belkin for support. The well-known accessory manufacturer offers the stylish Boost Charge Pro 3-in-1 on both Amazon and the Apple Online Store. It costs US$149.99, with a maximal charging capability of 15-watts for iPhone, just like Apple's own MagSafe charging device. The charging module for the Apple Watch is also magnetic, and the AirPods are charged via the Qi-pad at the charger's feet. Those without an Apple Watch and only in need of a way to charge their iPhone and AirPods can turn to Belkin's MagSafe 2-in-1 Wireless Charger, available on Amazon for US$99.99. A power adapter is included for both devices.

Other MagSafe Charging Devices
A few other accessory manufacturers also offer MagSafe charging pads and stands.

ESR HaloLock Charging Pad: US$17.99
ESR HaloLock Charging Stand: US$30.99
ESR HaloLock 2-in-1 Charging Station: US$29.99
Spigen Arcfield Charging Pad:
Spigen OneTap Car Phone Stand US$27.99 or US$29.99

There are also many other MagSafe charging devices and external batteries available on Amazon and other platforms. However, unlike some of the previously mentioned products, the quality can be difficult to determine before arrival. It is therefore recommended to pay close attention to the reviews. Quality products often have product descriptions without grammatical or syntax errors, and so this is another key point to focus on. If you have doubts about the authenticity of a product's reviews, it's recommended to refrain from buying it.

Apple's MagSafe Originals
