Comment: Apple's Spring Loaded Event – The Good the Bad... And Almost No Ugly

The last most recent update to macOS Big Sur, macOS 11.2.1, came with a serious error. Those upgrading to macOS 11 from a previous version with too little space on their drive weren't warned by the installation program – leading to complete data loss in the worst of cases. A new update fixes this.

Those who still haven't updated to macOS Big Sur (but are eagerly waiting to do so), should take a look at how much space they have left on their drive. When there's insufficient space, data loss can occur.

Just after the release of macOS Big Sur 11.2, Apple's released a new set of bug fixes. macOS 11.2.1 seeks to remedy issues encountered by some MacBook Pro users. In addition, it's accompanied by security updates to Catalina and Mojave.

The next phase of testing for macOS has already begun, although we'll still need to wait awhile for the official announcement. Apple has been testing macOS 12 since yesterday, with traces of macOS 12 noticeable in server statistics.

The M1 Macs' software diversity has yet again been expanded upon with the Parallels 16 technical preview. The software's functionality has already been proven on ARM Macs. Now it's Microsoft's turn to change their licensing model.
